Since I have been retired I kept tellng myself that I need to use the little home gym we got setup in the shed and go for a run or walk. Most days we are busy and dont get the time to get a heavy workout like I want too.

So I came up with a workout that I keep within 5 minutes and I do it three times a day. I have even gotten my older boys involved as well.

I start off by doing rotational exercises somthing the Army used to do when I first joined in 2003.

The rotations are:

The Neck Rotation, three to the left and three to the right.

The Arms and Shoulders Rotation, three forward and three backwards.

The Hip Rotation, three to left and three to the right.

Lastly the Knees and Ankles rotation, three to the left and three to the right.

I also do various other arm, back and leg stretchs as well.

First exercise group are four different types of pushups. I usually do about three or four pushups for each type.

Second exercise group are four different types of pullups. I have a bar that hangs in my hallway. I do one pullup for each type.

Third exercise group are abs. I do about ten sit-ups, twenty crunchs, twenty supine bicycles.

The last exercise I do are jumping jacks (side straddle hop). I do about twenty of these.

I do all this within 5 minutes to ensure I keep it short and sweet.

I plan to post up some vidoes here soon to show what this workout looks like in real time.

Hope you enjoyed my little blog.

Have a great day!
