Verse of the Day
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
— PSALM 30:5 (NIV)
The Night Won’t Last Forever
God’s faithfulness is like the sunrise—inevitable. Even when:
- The night feels endless…
- The tears soak your pillow…
- The wait stretches your faith…
This is His promise:
- 🌧️ Your sorrow has an expiration date (“weeping may stay for the night“)
- ☀️ Joy is already on the way (“but rejoicing comes in the morning“)
- ❤️ His favor outlasts every storm (“his favor lasts a lifetime“)
How to Cling to Hope
1️⃣ Speak truth over your night season
- “This pain is temporary—joy is coming.”
- “God’s favor surrounds me even here.”
2️⃣ Remind someone else
- Text a friend: “God sees your tears—dawn is breaking.”
3️⃣ Worship while you wait
- Play a song of hope (try “Joy Comes in the Morning” by Bethel)
Prayer for the Night Season
Faithful Father,
I confess—the night feels long. But I choose to trust:
- Your anger is not my reality (Your mercy is).
- My weeping is not the end (joy is).
- This darkness is not stronger (Your light is).
Until morning comes, help me to:
- 💡 Spot Your small mercies in the shadows
- 🤝 Comfort others who are still in their night
- 🕊️ Rest in Your promise that dawn always wins
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🔥 Hope Challenge
- Write down one area of “weeping” → Beside it, write “Rejoicing is coming—Psalm 30:5”
- Share this verse with someone in their own “night season”
